Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

Do I have the right to sue or not?

A week ago, I was exiting the warehouse I rent space at. The manager had closed the overhead door so low that I hit my head on it, which hurt for over a day. At the time, in anger I told this young woman I'd sue, whereas she's now treating me pettily, thinking I didn't have the right to say this. I have a feeling things aren't going to change here any time soon. Your advice, please, as to my right to sue and/or solve this problem. In the past, I called her on thinking she had the right to call the cops on me when I wasn't out of the building at 5 till 5pm--She had purposely set the clock ahead 5 mins. fast & made this stupid threat, somehow thinking she could get away with this abuse. (She also seems to think she's some kind of a super-model that people are automatically supposed to obey.) Thank you for your counsel.

A couple of things. You may have a negligence suit with the overhanging door. Was that the only time the door was that low as far as you know? Did you see a doctor? Did you have any medical bills. Also, what does your rental agreement say? Can you only access it until 5 p.m. It does seem unreasonable to be petty over five minutes.
