are survailence cameras legal while renting a cabin without notifying tenants prior to utilizing cabin?

It is not a crime but if the cameras pick up the renters as soon as they find out that in their relaxed state they are being filmed you will have a large group of unhappy people who probably will be justified in demanding their rent money back.
