Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

A tenant that we had evicted 4 months ago...(went to court, tenant never showed up), is now suing us for severe damage to her due to mold, dust mites & methane gas. All false. She harrassed us during the whole eviction process saying that if we did not stop the eviction she would sue. What can we do to stop this. All through the eviction process she claimed she had proof, would not let us in to check out anything she claim (we have everything documented) Never answered interrogatories and never showed up for court date. Now she is suing. There has to be something we can do? She is a scammer.

I assume that you have insurance on the property, so turn the claim over to the insurance carrier, ask to speak to the attorney handling the case and give them a copy of all the written documents you have, point out that she would not let you in to inspect and then cure any problem that might exist and if the place was so bad why did she not want to move. See if you can try to enforce your judgment against her.
