Tenant seeking legal counsel in unlawful detainer case. Tenant informed landlord of mold problem in the home, landlord retaliated with 60 day eviction. Tenant obtained testing determining harmful mold in home was present. Tenant shared testing, photos detailing leaking roof and estimated remediation costs with landlord & withheld rent as remediation costs were over $5000 (more than 2 months rent). Tenant filed bankruptcy. Landlord lifted automatic stay. Trial date Nov 10th.
