I am required to live on-site. I am a maint tech. Does my wife have rights as a tenant? My supervisor said she is not considered a tenant.

Re: Tenant/employment

It depends upon what rights your employer gave you. Your wife generally will have no greater rights than you. In most cases, when someone is required to live on-site as a condition of their employment, they are given a "license" to live in the property. That license is terminable immediately upon termination of your employment. On-Site managers have this same problem in that as soon as they are fired, they can be evicted with very short notice (depending upon the license or agreement with the property owner). Again, in almost no case will your wife have greater rights than you.
