Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

Threats of Lawsuit

About 8 months ago we rented a house. Rental was on a as is basis (no security deposit). After a year of renting on a month to month we gave notice in the middle of the month only to upset the Landlord,Who decided it best to show the place immediatley. That was 1 week after the notice. Not liking the idea of being on display I said we will get out earlier So.the Landlord and I settled on a amount less than the notice that was given.I am now getting calls and threats of a lawsuit what are my rights?

Re: Threats of Lawsuit

You waived normal rules of showing the premises.

Did you have your agreement reduced to writing? Otherwise, there might be a lawsuit, but you have an excellent chance to win.
