Legal Question in Legal Ethics in California

attorney promised me help as her ''expert witness'' then flaked

a coworker was fired at work involving a sexual harrassment case. i was on family medical but was witness to the harrassement-my position was ''dissolved'' after 9 years when i returned to work. no doubt in my mind it was due my first hand knowledge of the harrassment. i was offered a joke of a severance pkg. the coworker hired legal counsel to sue for sex. harrassment. her counsel contacted me as she wanted me to be the ''expert witness'' and in turn would help negotiate a much better severance pkg. She has me fill out detailed questions also, as she think she'd like to represent me in wrongful termination case. i fill out the 100 questions, send them back. the date to sign the release for the severance comes and goes. i lose the pkg. I hear through the grapevine, she has found a ''witness'' she lieks better. I never heard from her again. After 9 years, thanks to false promises, I walk away w/ nothing. Can I do anything to the attorney?

from the facts you put forth thus far, you may have a very viable cause of action against the attorney if you reasonably and foreseeably relied on her statements to you which led to your damages here. if you would like a further evaluation and/or assistance in this matter, email my office today with more details on what your severance package offer initially was, as well as more information on how this attorney "caused" you to ultimately lose out on your severance package, especially if you knew that you had an actual date to sign this severance package release with or without an attorney intervening. i would need as much facts here as possible.
