California ethics . know when to fire your lawyer

You have the right to fire your lawyer at any time. The termination, however, does not relieve you of the obligation to pay your lawyer for his services.

I cannot give you any general rules as to when you should change lawyers. If you are dissatisfied with your lawyer's services in any way, however, you have the right to find someone else to represent you.
