Legal Question in Legal Ethics in California

Hello

My question is about legal fees

I twice questioned the opposition attorney about his fees.

The first time his response was " I am going to hire a litigation attorney, I am going to

go to court, I am going to win, I am going to charge you my fees,, the litigation attorney fees,

and more"

The second time his response was" you have no right to question my fees"

What should I do ?

Regards

Unless a statute or a written agreement provides for legal fees, generally each litigant is required to pay his/her own attorney's fees. If you lose, you may have to pay certain of his/her litigation costs as itemized in the Code of Civil Procedure.
