Legal Question in Legal Ethics in California

iam a plaintiff in a neglagents case concerning a minor.my attorney dropped my case due to a conflict of interest, iam currently without representation however the defence attorney has filed a motion with the court ,knowing that i have no current represention.is this unethical? if so what can i do about it?

I is not unethical. The attorney has a duty to represent his client and to try to win the case without being dishonest, etc. He does not have a duty to protect your interests.

It is not unethical. You are currently an unrepresented party. The case does not go on hold simply because you don't have a lawyer. If you want an attorney, go get a new one.

The other attorneys are correct. You have no right to have the case not move forward just because you don't have an attorney. You need to find one, or file a response to the motion yourself.
