Legal Question in Legal Ethics in California

I have just been ordained as a Minister online. My question is, how legal is it? I have a friend who would like for me to marry her ; Can I do so? Thank you VERY much for your time. - Veronica

Marriages require a civil authority recognition; a church or other private marriage has no meaning to the law. If you do not get a marriage license you are not married. You on line licence is legal, but it is also just meaningless. You are given by the civil authorities no greater rights or powers than anyone else. Its like buying the name to a star; you get a piece of paper and a title, but none of its means anything [the company that wil sell you the naming right to a star fails to point out they do not own the star and it is done for entertainment purposes only].
