Legal Question in Legal Ethics in California

Hi, My question is whether an attorney in CA retained by a buyer of a commercial property transaction for providing legal advice and negotiation service with the seller may also receive a finders fee for finding an investor (the buyer) from the seller (disclosing this fact to the client, the buyer, who agrees to waive any potential conflict of interest). Thank you.

The attorney did not find a buyer. The buyer found the seller and retained the attorney to represent him. As an agent of the buyer, the attorney would have no more right to a finder's fee than the buyer would.
