There is no specific monetary limitation on damages for legal malpractice. In most cases, you must prove how much you should have gotten if the attorney had not acted negligently.

There are limitations on the types of damages that you can recover. In the absence of fraud, emotional distress/pain & suffering damages are generally not recoverable in a legal malpractice action.
