Legal Question in Legal Malpractice in California

Given proof, can a previously fired lawyer be sued?

I had recently fired my lawyer as he just was not doing anything to help my case. I had asked him if I could sue the city where I live for fault in a motorcycle accident due to bad roads. He said that only the person whose fault it was could try to sue the city and show that they were also at fault.

well, the person whom I was in the accident with is sueing the city as there lawyers didnt see it this way. Can I sue my previous lawer for malpractice if the other person does win his case against the city?

thank you for your time in this matter.

Your question was just posted as of July 3. You have a case. I have extensive experience in road design and construction cases as well as malpractice against attorneys. You have the right to involve all parties whose fault contributed to the accident. Whether there is malpractice will depend upon whether there is actionable wrongdoing by the City, as there are government immunities that must be considered.
