Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in California

American Home Products (norplant & phen-fen)

My younger sister was on norplant (contraceptive) and phen-fen (weight loss) and has had many of the similar symptoms that the myriad of lawsuits pertain to around the country. How does she get involved with any class action lawsuits. We don't have much legal background and don't know where to start without hiring an attorney. Any recommendations or research would be helpful (she lives in Orange County, California.

It seems like millions of dollars have been won from these similar lawsuits and I would like my sister to be compensated for all the physiological and emotional stress she has been through from these products.

Thank you so much for any help!

Re: American Home Products (norplant & phen-fen)

I can't speak to the NOrplant question, because I am not involved in any claims against AHP concerning norplant. I am involved in with fen-phen.

Your sister has avery short time period to bring a claim for damage. I think in California it is as short as 1 year from when she knew that she had a claim. Call an attorney now about this. If she waits too long then she may never be able to claim damages for her injuries.

I'd be happy to talk with you or her. 1-800-838-0800
