Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in California

what can I do? A child is dead! how can i prove malpractice..help!?!

To do this as quickly as possible..

Went to hospital 8 months pregnant with excrutiating pain in abdomen that i knew and told them was abnormal, and a history with abruptal placenta (which I also told them. I told them it was in my chart and to look for it. Nurses told me that i was just having "gas or stomach flu" without checking me or baby. told me that i was just trying to "scam drugs from them by lying about the pain" (i hadn't asked for any) checked babys heartbeat and it was weak. said they would be back in a minute to give me ultrasound. didn't come back for 5 hours. when came back, ultrasound showed baby was dead. autopsy said baby had died about 5 hours after i admitted myself.

they admitted to not looking at my chart, and now they are saying that they have "lost" it. what can i do?? this can't happen again!! please help!

You must be able to prove not only that the hospital staff and/or doctors were negligent, but you must also be able to prove that if they had followed the proper medical standard of care for your treatment, that your baby would have survived. I would be happy to speak to you further about this. Please feel free to give me a call or send me an e-mail. Thank you. Steve
