Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in California

My doctor made me come in for an appointment to tell me she was "firing" me. I was expecting answers about my recent blood work that indicated my cancer tumor markers were elevated (I've had breast cancer). She had just told me to stop taking my antidepressants two weeks earlier. I had to find a new doctor. Is this ethical, legal, malpractice?

It's not malpractice unless you can prove you suffered an injury, and from your question, there doesn't seem to be an injury.

So, the real question is "Can a physician fire a client?" The answer is yes. For example, if you are not taking your doctor's advice, she can fire you.
