It sounds like you are trying to save money on a lawyer, and will end up harming your case, or perhaps losing all of your rights. You need an attorney, because the attorney has to know what specific elements he has to prove to show that lowered standard, and he has to know what evidence he has to bring in, and then he will be able to know what type of expert will be able to provide that information based on case law and other legal resources.
