What are the types of damages (i.e. punitive) and their corresponding 'caps' for wrongful death cases in California.

The only cases that have limits on recovery are emotional distress damages in medical malpractice cases, which I believe are still at $250,000. You probably need to go to attorneys who specialize in wrongful death cases to get an idea from them what the case is actually worth.
