Legal Question in Personal Injury in California
I was in a 4 car pile up. I was the last car to get hit. I drive a commercial van for supershuttle. The car is my car, not a company car. I paid for it and maintain it etc. My question is, when i take it to get fixed, which should only take a day, can i sue for the day lost in wages? Which equals about $500...

I doubt a court would award you lost wages in this case. A body shop can rent a car for you and you may be able to recover the rental fee.

I agree with Mr. Shen, your measure of damages is the cost of a replacement vehicle, not lost income. Only if you cannot rent a replacement would you be in a position even to try for lost income.
