Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

I was arrested and charged with armed robbery due to being identified by the victim. I was then cleared of any involvement as I was incorrectly identified. I paid 17,000 for bail which is the 10% of total bond. Can I sue the police department or person who identified me to get that money back?

Unless the PD engaged in a civil rights violation in arresting you, including if the arrest was without probable cause, you have no case against the PD. You may have a case against the person who ID'd you.
