Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

car accident

About 3 months ago i was involved in a car accident in my appartment complex. i was backing out of a parking space and another car hit me. Now i looked both ways and didn't see anybody and when i did see that person i stoped she still had enough room to go around and she was speeding, she pushed my car like 7 feet side ways.she was 17 and did not have a licence. It was said that it was my fualt because i was backing out and she got her car fixed. i want to know is if i can sue her for damages to my car.

If you believe that she was at fault, you can sue her to recover for your damages. You can also sue the person who actually owned the car, as well. There is a good chance, however, that they can cross-complain against you for their damages. The judge will have to decide who was at fault and who owes how much to whom. Good luck to you.
