Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

use of children after served papers & hired a lawyer

The defandants in a personal injury lawsuit after they have been served the lawsuit papers by certified mail & hired an attourney. Did they violate some law or code of contact by sending my & hers children to inform me that they are broke & the children will lose their jobs (part time) if I don't drop my lawsuit. Are they allowed to do this?

Their attorney may not contact you except through your attorney. (You do have an attorney, don't you?) But a defendant may contact you. I assume your attorney is telling you to ignore the contact.
