My dad workcomp settment

My dad just died and just before he died he's lawyer opionted me his guardship for he.S steelment which i mailed back the form this week which she's than going to filed with the counrty, $14,0000 still owned to him is paid $360 twice a mon, what gong to happen to the mony owned to he who going to get it.

Sorry your Dad died. Call the lawyer RIGHT NOW and tell him. If your Dad's death was caused by the workplace injury, you might be entitled to a large death benefit.

I would assume that the unpaid WC permanent disability benefits would be part of your father's estate. If his total assets are less than $100,000 you do not have to go through probate [you would rather avoid probate if you can]. Check with his WC attorney, notify the WC carrier, discuss with the attorney if a lump sum could be paid instead [you would probably have to discount the money to its current economic value].
