Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

dog bite- no insurance

I was at a party where the owner's dog bit a little boy and later the same day bit me. This party was for her employees (she runs a catering business) and she had a few emplyees working for her that day. However, the homeowner's insurance has a dogbite exclusion, so I was wondering if her business insurance might cover damages, or might there be loopholes to work around the dogbite exlusions? Like severe negligence??

The owner of the dog is strictly liable for the dog bite. There is no need to prove negligence. Whether there's insurance or not doesn't affect liability.

If she owns a home, then there are assets against which you may collect once you get a judgment. Please let me know if I might be of assistance. There might be an issue of workers compensation, however, which might be the exclusive remedy if you're an employee.
