Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

Not at fault but no liability

HI, I was in a accident abck in 08/00 where a woman on a cell phone made a U turn on a residential street directly into the side of my truck as I was driving in the oppisite direction. My truck fliped 1.5 times. LAPD, fire dept, EMT, and even DOt was on the scene. I did not have libility insuracne at the time. I went to a lawyer who ''attempted'' to help me. I think he was kinda of shady. He sent me to a doctor who just put me in back therapy for 6 months. The other insuracne company only paid out 80% of my trucks value, and said they would pay the rest if I had a police report. My lawyer said there was not one filed. Is there anything I can still do, I am still having issues with my back, and it made me have to change my living arangements and change jobs. Thanks

Yes. Remain under doctor's care. Legally, California has statutes of limitation that already have run. In other words, your time has run out to file a lawsuit against the other driver. Do you think your lawyer did something wrong and, if so, when did you realize it? Did they pay any of your medical bills? Did you sign a release of all claims? These are questions that need answers.
