Yes, you can always fire your attorney, just like anyone else that works for you. You should know that s/he probably has a lien against your case. Read your retainer. That means that s/he is still entitled to compensation for work s/he has already done - it's only fair. Generally, the 2nd attorney would pay the 1st attorney's bill after settlement.

The answer is yes, and it won't cost you anything. The percentage you pay from the recovery will be the same. The question is whether or not another attorney will accept the case.
