Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

Do I need to get a lawyer?

My insurance company has decided in the other driver's favor, saying that it was 100% my fault, that I ran a red light. I know the light was yellow when I crossed the intersection and the other driver decided to make an unprotected left turn in front of me. He only has liability (even though the car is brand new), and is asking for damages for both car and himself, though he would not let me call for an ambulance, saying he was okay. I just feel so victimized and taken advantage of, when I know he has to bear part of the responsibility. He also has a witness that says I ran the red light and that is what my insurance company is basing their decision on. I have full coverage but my max is low and I am scared he will go after me for more money. I just don't trust the other driver and feel he is lying. Do I have any recourse at this point? The accident occured four months ago. Please help!
