Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

I live in california and was rear ended a couple weeks ago. The other driver already admitted fault and his insurance company is sending a check to pay for my car. The issue I'm wandering about it that I was driving without insurance (yes I know it was stupid but unfortunetly I can't change that fact). As I said he rear ended me and has already admitted fault. The police were not called. We just exchanged insurance information and I have dealt only with his insurance company. Am I going to lose my license for not driving with insurance?
