Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

Long story short . I just got an email from the financial aid director admitting that a " clerical error " by the lady entering in the data for my loan $ is the " entire " reason for me not receiving my loan $ on the date that I was told from their office that I'd receive it . She stated I did everything right . I suspect it wasn't a simple clerical error but rather negligence as I was on the phone with the lady and she said they were releasing the funds that day to be available a week later . A week later , they say " she put the wrong date " last week . It was supposed to cover living expenses , including rent , as I am impoverished and mentally disabled ( disabled according to doctor , denied & appealing SS disability ) . I was evicted , made homeless , suffered a nervous breakdown and attempted suicide .

If this is a public school you have no case because they have immunities for negligent misrepresentations. Otherwise you ought to reconsider borrowing money for living expenses to go to school.
