Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

Minor Car Accident

My wife was in a very minor rear ender in November. She had upper back and neck pain, so she went to a chiropractor. We recently demanded to settle with the other drivers insurance. THey are refusing to pay all of the chiropractors bill, it is only 1500 dollars, one day of lost work, out of three, and 700 dollars p/s. We are asking for all of the medical bill to be paid, and 1000 p/s and will accept the wage payment. They are refusing. Do we have any other alternative to resolve this dispute?

Two months later my wife was rear ended again, believe it or not. This time, the settlement was handled in five minutes. The damage and injuries were pretty much the same. Of course, these were two different insurance companies.

Re: Minor Car Accident

Sounds like the first accident involved Mercury. But all the carriers take a dim view of "minor" cases. I assume the property damage on the 1st case was low. You'd have to sue the other driver in small claims court. Get some professional help before the trial since the defendant will have his ins. adjuster there.
