Parent liability after child turns 18

In the state of CA, can parents be sued for anything their child does after the child turns 18 (i.e. legal adult)? Please exclude situations where a parent co-signed something to take responsibility. TIA.

Re: Parent liability after child turns 18

Anything is a broad term. If, for example, a parent negligently gives a car to their child, they could be sued even if the child is over 18. If you have something specific in mind, you should ask. Otherwise, the answer is that there are situations where a parent can be sued for acts of an adult child.
