Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

I recently was blocked in a parellel parking spot. I left 2 ft in front of me, but the person who parked behind me only left 3 inches. I had to back into the vehicle in order to get out of my spot. The owner witnessed it as I was leaving and now she is making a claim against me. There was no significant damage. What do I do?

Nothing, relax, she may sue you but it is SO unlikely, she has to spend money on her attorney, or small claims filing fee, she has to prove damages, reasonable damages, and that it was your fault. Don't worry about this, next time, take pictures of any alleged damage with your camera phone or a disposable camera from your glove compartment.

It is unclear what you mean by "she is making a claim against" you. Did she file a lawsuit, or is she making a claim against your insurance? If you are insured, and worried about being monetarily responsible for the damage, report the incident to your insurer and they will likely take care of everything for you.
