Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

I was recently diagnosed with Blepharospasm, one of the focal dystonias. Blepharospasm causes rapid eye blinking and closing of the eyes which makes it hard to read and see (functional blindness). It is a result of taking neuroleptics for several years, which can cause Blepharospasm. I wanted to know if it is possible to sue the manufacturer of the neuroleptic I was taking? If so, what may the award amount be for this type of case, how much is a typical judgement? Thank you.

Yes, it is possible to sue for any one or any company for any or little reason. Whether you will win is always the problem. It is very costly to take on a case like this. You must prove that the manufacturer was negligent in designing or researching the product before they put it out on the market. You must probe the extent of your damages. You must hire expert a drug manufacturer expert to testify for your case, then you have to convince the jury that your case is stronger than the drug manufacturers attorneys can make their case.

Your case has a value from zero, where you have to pay for the defense attorney's costs, to winning millions. Joe Marman
