Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

I'm not sure about signing a paper that was sent to me by my brother who is deceased. his attorney has sent a paper for me to sign saying that he would settle for 2,131.93 but the papers that were sent with his letter that offered this pitence, said it was settled for 47,000. but his letter head letter said they want to settle for 2,131.93. what di I do??
