Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

I have a small income, tiny estate and live with my adult daughter.

If I am responsible for an auto accident that causes injuries more than my insurance covers, can this daughter (who owns a condo) be sued as well?

Sorry for the delay. It just appeared today. The answer is no if she doesn't own the car and has no financial or other kind of legal interest in the car. Make sure to tender the claim to your insurance carrier at the earliest possible time, so that they won't claim the delay impaired their investigation in any way. Good luck.

The driver and registered owners of the car at fault will be liable for all damages. Any judgment against you, not paid by insurance, could be collected against any real or personal property in your name. If you are not on title to her house, car, bank accounts, they can't be attached.
