Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

Sue uninsured motorist.

I was rear ended by an uninsured motorist, and I do not have uninsured motorist coverage. I need to pay my deductable to get my car back, along with rental car costs, towing costs, etc. Is it legal to sue the party that was not insured and hit my car for costs incurred? Can I sue for more than strictly costs incurred?

you can sue the driver and registered owner for your property damage, medicals, wage loss, pain and suffering, etc. But unless they have job, assets, money to collect from, you have a problem.
