Legal Question in Personal Injury in California
if somebody wrote a letter saying that she thinks i stole medications from her even though she gave them to me and they were found in the car that she had recently gave me could i sue her for libel or slander

Was there a publication (I.e., did she post the letter online for others to see, or send the letter to others)? If the letter was sent to you only, the short answer is no.

Even if the letter was sent to or "published" to others, you would also have to show you suffered economic losses because of it, or you have no case.
