Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

I was angry and keyed a persons car that parked in my assigned parking spot and admitted to it and left a note but someone saw and called the police.

This is my first offense and I have never done anything like this before. I have 7-9 character witnesses that are not family members that are writing letters to tell of my character...many are employers or co-workers of mine. I am also taking anger management classes and have tried to contact the owner of the car to get the car fixed.

What else can I do? I am the sole supporter of my family of 4 and we are living on $1400 a month in Southern California so I can't afford to go to jail or have many fines. What else can I do to help my case?

First, you might want to re-ask your question under "criminal law," because it has nothing to do with real estate and real property.

Having said that, I think you will qualify for public defender assistance in court, due to your income and responsibilities. Follow your PD's advice, and don't miss a court appearance. As a first offender and for this relatively minor offense, I'm pretty sure you will get probation rather than jail time.
