Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

I am in Apt #2 and I have storage space S-2. Apt. #5, original owner of building, thought he had storage space S-5, but it turns out he has S-2. How do we resolve this matter?

Switch the spaces? You keep whichever space you currently use and he keeps the space he currently uses. If the number are important, just rename them.
