Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

I bought a newly built home in an area that did not have a home built behind us yet. For some reason the house being built is built a different direction then all the other homes. Putting this 2 story home a foot away from by back fence taking away any privacy in my backyard. The builder is a different builder then the one I bought from. My builder sold their remaining land to this other builder so they do not care about me. Do I have any rights?

You might. I suggest speaking to a real estate attorney near you. The attorney is going to want to know if this is in a common interest development and therefore subject to a recorded declaration of covenants, and whether or not there are any zoning set backs that apply to the property.
