Can I collect a finder fee for a property sold at action in California?

This would require that you have an agreement for the fee with the party you expect to pay you; there is no automatic entitlement to a finders fee. In some cases, you might also be required to have a real estate license, depending upon the nature of your services, but that would be a little unusual.
