i am filing a declaration for default judgement by court against a tenant who moved out the week before our unlawful detainer trial date. i was wondering what charges are defined as holdover damages?

I agree. Holdover damages are usually calculated as the daily rental value multiplied by the number of days from the end of the three day notice to pay or quit, until the tenant left the property.
