Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

I have a friend who was evicted from his house. He asked to store some furniture (a room full) at my house. I told him OK for a couple of weeks. Nothing in writing. I have asked him to move it out. It has been three months and he has not moved it out. How can I legally get his stuff out of my house? And how can I dispose of it?

You are being taken advantage of and have no legal obligation to do anything. Send him a letter telling him to move his stuff out within 3 days or you'll either start charging him rent or get rid of his things. If he doesn't pay rent and doesn't move his stuff, get rid of it.
