Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

hi!

i live in a condo and we have an Hoa any how the hoa decided to raise the dues again from $320 to $370 affective oct 3 2009 but they are going to raise it again to $420 affective jan 1 2010 my question is can they legaly do that what what can i do to stop them???

and secound the hoa rep from cms wants a raise $24k a year is there any way we can get her out and hire some one cheaper to a specal election if so what is that proccess????

You need to get a copy of your CC&R's and read them. There will be a provision in there how to appoint and elect board members, and there may be a section on how to have a special election. Electing a new board will solve your problems. You, as a homeowner should have the right to run for office.
