I had inherited agriculture land in punjab, mother was visiting punjab from US; i sent power of attorney to my brother-in-law, to sell and deposit money in my sister's (his wife) acct. till i come to india, but now he would not say NO but would not release the money to me either, what can i do legaly to collect my inherited money, as my mother & dad have passed away. Currently my brother-in-law is visiting USA, staying with his son who is also overstayed in US and out of status in other word illigaly living in US. They shall be coming back to Bombay by Aug.8th, 2012.
