Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

need interpretation of wording

I received a letter from court saying my family was settling the following estate: ''A portion of lot 1060, Barrigada, referenced and condemned in civil case #34-50 of which is contained in fed. excess Lot Radio Barrigada A-6, consisting of 374.473 acres described in Exhibit ''A'' referred to and made a part hereof, and as shown on document number 624374, recorded in Dept. of Land Mgmt. of the Gov. of Guam, comprising NAVFAC drawing #s 7943911-7943918.'' Doess this mean we inherit 374 acres or a portion of 374 acres? How long can the probate take with 25 heirs?

Re: need interpretation of wording

your question makes no sense as what you have quoted is the legal description of a specific parcel of property --- what you have done is not to understand the form or document which was sent to you --- get an opinion in person from an attorney with expierence in probate/ estate planning as soon as possible as there may be a time limit to do something in your own interest

To answer your first question, you only get a portion of the 374 acres. To answer your second question, the answer, and I do not mean to be rude, is it depends.

From the legal description, especially the term Guam and the NAVFAC, you actually need a lawyer who is familiar with Guam, not California. If the real estate is in Guam, it must be probated in Guam, not California.

I hope this is of help, to you.

Very truly yours,

Anthony Roach, Esq.

P.S. I have been to Guam, and it is very beautiful, good luck.
