Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

My landlord is my in laws I don't have any writen lease agreements with them.Right now I am on the middle of seporation and I received letter three day notice pay or quit wher they claim I did not pay for some months I have copy of my bank statment where I can see that money was taken from my account the rest have been payed with cash and i have witnesses . I have invest more than $15000 in fixing this place with their permission I also don't have any written proof since all of us "Family". My landlord never pay me money for all work I have done can provide all invoices. I still marred no divorce why do they charge only me ? Any suggestions ?

As to the $15,000 you invested in fixing the place, were you doing the work yourself, or hiring licensed contractors? Anyone without a license may have difficulty getting help from a California court to recover for their efforts.

As to money "taken from your account" -- are you saying it was taken without your permission or your signature? This part of your question is unclear.

It's also not clear whether your spouse lived with you in your in-laws' property. However, as to being "still married," the date that you and your spouse separated will be more important in dividing up your liabilities (and assets) than the date your divorce becomes final. Try to think in terms of the date you stopped living together as husband and wife as the date your finances become separate, rather than communal.
