Lien holder refuses to release title

filed bankruptcy in 1999, creditor filed lien before bankruptcy, but now house in escrow, title will not clear because of lien. Lien holder will not accept payment, tried to pay. Meanwhile, interest of $2.35 accumulates everyday. Did not know lien existed until escrow.

You need to have an attorney file a motion to reopen the case and avoid the lien. This process usually takes about 4 to 6 weeks.
