Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

I am married and refinancing my house. I will be the only one on the loan, but the bank is asking my wife's authorization to pull her credit report, they said because California is a Conjugal Property states. Is this legal?

California is a "Community Property" state, and yes, it is legal.
